| Alright! Mepislovers is now hosting the guides.
The guides will still be available at the http://saist.fateback.com/mepis site for a little while longer as I complete The changeover. So, start redirecting your browsers to : http://mepislovers.com/guide/ The purpose of these documents are simple purposes. In making the jump from Windows To Linux, many common users may find themselves without programs they are familiar with, or alternatives that are easy to use. So, this will document how to install simple and common programs into the MEPIS distribution of Linux. The guides were built using NVU along with Ksnapshot off of a fresh install of MEPIS. Each of the programs was loaded one after another, so the guides are structured as I built them. The guides were snapshotted in 800*600 resolution. This is both due to size constraints on the pictures, but size constraints for the screen as well.
